INTERNSHIP POLICY

INTRODUCTION:

Internships provide hands-on learning experiences that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional skills. They are essential for career growth, as employers prefer candidates who possess industry-relevant expertise and familiarity with workplace dynamics. Designed as structured, short-term programs, internships offer guided training focused on specific assignments or projects within a set duration.

APPLICABLE TO:

Participation in the internship program is mandatory for all MBA students, aligning with the institution’s objective of enhancing their business acumen and practical skills

OBJECTIVE:

  • To offer hands-on experience in developing and refining essential managerial skills required in the professional world.
  • To familiarize students with real-world organizational settings, bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical application, thereby enhancing their competency.
  • To provide insights into the social, economic, and administrative factors that shape the functioning of organizations.

  • Explore and apply for internships through company career portals.

  • Access internship listings on Internshala, where all first-year students are registered (https://internshala.com/internships/).
  • Look for opportunities in companies located near your residence.
  • Leverage personal connections by seeking recommendations from family or friends.
  • Reach out to alumni for guidance and potential internship openings.
  • Consult your Faculty Mentor, Department Faculty, or the Placement Office to identify suitable internship prospects.

INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES:

Step 1: Request for Bonafide Certificate

Students must submit a formal request (letter or email) to the college to obtain a Bonafide Certificate.

Step 2: Application Submission to Industries

Students should send their request letter, profile, and areas of interest to potential industries for internship opportunities.

Step 3: Industry Confirmation

Industries will confirm the availability of internship slots and allocate seats through a confirmation letter or email. If students arrange internships independently, they must submit the confirmation letter to the Training & Placement Coordinator.

Additionally, students should consult faculty members overseeing the Final/Summer Internship program.

Step 4: Submission of Joining Report

Upon commencing their internship, students must submit a Joining Report, letter, or confirmation email to the college.

Step 5: Internship Training & Faculty Evaluation

Students will undergo training at their designated industry/organization. Faculty members will monitor their progress and conduct one or two evaluation visits.

Step 6: Submission of Internship Report

After completing the internship, students are required to submit a detailed training report.

Step 7: Internship Completion Certification

The Director’s Office will issue a list of students who have successfully completed their internship.
